TRAPEZE Stage Backdrop Being Auctioned

A full-size stage backdrop used by the legendary rock band TRAPEZE between 1976 and 1994 is being auctioned via eBay.

TRAPEZE was known not only for its great albums and amazing live performances but for the fact that bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes went on to join DEEP PURPLE, drummer Dave Holland joined JUDAS PRIEST, guitarist/vocalist Mel Galley joined WHITESNAKE and singer on the final album Pete Goalby joined URIAH HEEP.

The stage backdrop was made for Mel Galley in 1976 and it cost around £1000 back then. It was used on tours both in the USA and the UK from then on. It is made from a hessian/cheesecloth type material and is said to be "in very good condition despite its age. It has been in storage since the final shows in 1994. There is little damage and no signs of damp or mould."
